The 1st Quaratine Enforcement Brigade (Air Assault) (1st QEB (AA)) was a helicopter infantry brigade of the Quarantine Enforcement Division.

Background

In 1982, the International Genetics Corporation leased Isla Sorna to begin experimenting and producing dinosaurs for a future park in San Diego. Two years later in 1984, the first prehistoric animal was born, and a year later InGen decided to move the park to a neighboring island, Isla Nublar.

In 1990, InGen formed the Jurassic Park Rangers, a law enforcement and tour guide branch of the park. Three years later, the park would suffer castrophic failure and lead the United Nations to put a quarantine on the islands. In 1994, the United Nations contracted InGen to "enforce the quarantine on the islands... by any means necessary" and given a budget of $500 million.

Formation

The 1st QEB was established on Isla Pena, where they would conduct helicopter and foot patrols on Isla Sorna and Isla Nublar. It intially consisted of one battalion of helicopter infantry and one company of veternaians and combat medics, it would grow into one full regiment with three battalions, an intelligence company, and multiple helicopter flights by the end of the year. In 1996, after realizing there is a great amount of fatigue being isolated on an island for three years at a time, InGen authorized a reserve second regiment of infantry that would rotate in for three months per years, so the regulars could have some shore time.
