Usage

Use this template by inserting the following: {{Medal Display|Short Code for Medal|display size}} The first parameter must be the short code of the medal using the abbreviation from the below list and the wikilinked name of the medal/decoration will be displayed, preceded by the image of the ribbon (if available) and followed by the post nominal titles (if applicable).

The second, optional, param is the size that the image must be, for example 25px. The default size is 40px.

Take note that making changes to the DOCUMENTATION on this page does not change the actual template!

Issues

At this point, using these in a list causes the list to generate a new UL for each item. Corrections to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Future

Having an if statement with parameters to allow the turning on or off of the ribbon display etc. would be nice.

Please NOTE, if you are looking for the Proficiency and Qualification badges, please use the template {{Badge Display}} (South African ones are in {{Badge Display/ZAR}})

Non-South African

UK awards

Please note that the UK items are duplicated in the {{Medal Display/ZAR}} data. If you use {{Medal Display}} without a country parameter it defaults to ZAR and if it finds the record there when it’s not a ZAR record it adds that page as an error to the category ‘’Medal Display Obsolete’’
