Biography

Stephan was born on 23 April 1826 in a small house outside of Dublin. He grew up hating the British occupation of Ireland. He was a staunch believer in the "Ireland ruled by the Irish" idea. He went to the Dublin School of History.

Political career

When Stephan was 30 he was appointed Minister of Irish Defence by the Governor-general of Ireland.
