Template:Shortcut This template renders a shortened university name with its heraldic shield—if applicable—for British universities:

Usage
The template may be called using either British university or BUni:
{{Newfoundland|Oxford}}→ Oxford{{BUni|Cambridge}}→ Cambridge
The template returns constituent colleges of Oxford, Cambridge, and Durham:
{{BUni|Oxford|Magdalen}}→ Oxford{{BUni|Cambridge|Trinity}}→ Cambridge{{BUni|Durham|University}}→ Durham
The template also returns links to rugby union and rowing clubs for applicable universities:
{{BUni|Loughborough|Rugby}}→ Loughborough{{BUni|Birmingham|Rowing}}→ Birmingham
By default, the template returns a 12px armorial; this may be altered with the size parameter:
{{BUni|St Andrews|size=15}}→ St Andrews{{BUni|Cambridge|Christ's|size=18}}→ Cambridge
The link parameter may be used to return a different wikilink to the default university article:
{{BUni|Bath|link=Team Bath}}→ Bath
By default, the template returns a shortened university name; the text may be altered with the text parameter:
{{BUni|Exeter|text=Exeter Demons}}→ Exeter
A third parameter may be added instead of the text and link parameters, where both values are equal:
{{BUni|Bristol||[[Paul Dirac]]}}→ Bristol{{BUni|Oxford|Balliol|[[Boris Johnson]]}}→ Oxford
The full parameter—automatically set to semi—may be set on to display the full university name or off to only display the armorial:†
{{BUni|Aberdeen|full=semi}}→ Aberdeen{{BUni|Aberdeen|full=on}}→ Aberdeen{{BUni|Aberdeen|full=off}}→ Aberdeen
† off setting not supported for non-armigerous universities.
