The Utah Territorial Army Act of 1869, officially the Territorial Military Act (Disestablishment), 1869, disestablished the seven year-old Utah Territorial Army, which employed full-time soldiers throughout the Civil War and War of Western Secession, and replaced it with the Utah Territorial Militia in late 1869.
