Governor Ethan H. Sawyer UC (July 5, 1840–October 19, 1915) was a politician, military officer, and civil rights activist. He served as Governor of the Utah Territory from 1869–1873 and the 1st & 3rd General of the West from 1865–1869 and 1889–1893.
