Emperor Taniguchi began ''Kokumin-teki kanki'' era with the appointing of [[Okano Yoshio]] as Prime Minister of Japan in 4579. Yoshio, an avid militarist and member of ''Teikoku Gunsei Shakai'', immediately began the re-militarism campaign and large propaganda campaign to enlist soldiers and sailors. This campaign, along with strong support from the Emperor, helped enlist over 500,000,000 to the [[Imperial Japanese Armed Forces]]. The Emperor also personally ordered 1,000 destroyers, 850 light frigates, 800 heavy frigates, 500 battlecruisers, 150 battleships, and 75 carriers. | |||
