The flags of the Utah Territorial Army have a unique history among the militias of the west, as the UTA had many unique flag designs.

Famous regiment flags

Utah Volunteer Regiment

The Utah Volunteer Regiment was the first regiment to formed in the Utah Territory for service in the civil war. The UVR had a recognizable flag and it became a symbol of home in occupied Utah.
